P100 - Introduction to Philosophy

Perennial problems of philosophy, including problems in ethics, in epistemology and metaphysics, in philosophy of religion. NOTE: Online course requires Microsoft Word.

P140 - Introduction to Ethics

Online / Correspondence
Philosophers' answers to ethical problems (e.g., the nature of good and evil, the relation of duty to self-interest, the objectivity of moral judgments), and the application of ethical theory to contemporary problems.

P150 - Elementary Logic

Online / Correspondence
Development of critical tools for the evaluation of arguments. Not a prerequisite for P250. Not open to students who have taken or are enrolled in P250. NOTE: Online course requires Microsoft Word.

P282 - Women in Philosophical Thought

Online / Correspondence
A study of the classical and contemporary sources that influence and illustrate differing concepts of woman. The aim is for students to clarify and assess the various concepts so as to better formulate and justify their concept of woman. NOTE: Online course requires Microsoft Word.

P337 - Philosophy of Work

Online / Correspondence
A study of selected views on such topics as the value and dignity of labor, causes of alienation, impact of industrialization and automation, employees' rights and responsibilities.
