M125 - Precalculus Mathematics

Correspondence
Designed to prepare students for M119. Algebraic operations; polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions and their graphs; conic sections; systems of equations; and inequalities. WARNING: This course will be treated as MATH M025 on the Bloomington campus. Students in degree programs should check with the recorder of their school and should be aware that M125 may result in no hours of credit toward a degree. In order to fulfill the COAS Fundamental Skills in Mathematics Requirement, students must earn a grade of C- or better, and no hours of credit will be awarded toward a degree in the College of Arts and Sciences. Graphing calculator required. Prerequisites: Two years of high school algebra or M014, and one year of high school geometry.

M126 - Trigonometric Functions

Correspondence
Designed to prepare students for M211. Trigonometric functions; identities. Graphs of trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. WARNING: This course will be treated as MATH M026 on the Bloomington campus. Students in degree programs should check with the recorder of their school and should be aware that M126 may result in no hours of credit toward a degree. This course does not fulfill the COAS Fundamental Skills in Mathematics Requirement. Prerequisite: M125 (may be taken concurrrently).
