No computer experience assumed. Basic principles of computers and software. Social and lifestyle effects of information technology. Emphasis on problem-solving techniques. Productivity software skills are taught using real-world projects. Credit given for only one of the following: A106, A110, or A111. NOTE: It is expected that students will complete this course using Microsoft Office (available through UITS) or equivalent office productivity software. Students must have access to a printer. Assignments may be submitted online or via physical media, such as CD or DVD. Internet access and an e-mail account OR access to a database program is also required. Prerequisite: One year of high school algebra or Mathematics M014.
