Special Needs

The Indiana University School of Continuing Studies is committed to supporting students with special needs.

Through the School of Continuing Studies, students can

  • choose from self-paced high school and undergraduate independent study courses.
  • study from home in an environment that conforms to their learning styles and preferences.
  • receive one-on-one support and feedback from instructors and staff.

In addition, students with documented disabilities can receive exam and instruction accommodations such as

  • extra time for exams.
  • a reader and/or scribe.
  • audiotaped exams.
  • enlarged-print exams.
  • adaptive hardware and software.
  • enlarged, electronic text from print learning materials.
  • conversion of print learning materials to an audio format such as MP3.
