Ivy Tech students: Apply today for a Dean's Scholarship

Information for Applicants

  1. Any student who has successfully completed an associate degree from Ivy Tech and who will enter the Bachelor of General Studies degree program through the university-wide School of Continuing Studies or on any of the IU regional campuses throughout the State of Indiana is eligible for the Dean's Scholarship ($500).
  2. The school will award four Dean's Scholarship for use during the 2010-11 academic year.
  3. Financial need and academic achievement/potential will constitute the primary basis for determining the award recipients.
  4. Requirements:
    • Applicants must hold an associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College.

    • Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

    • Applicants must have applied for admission to the IU Bachelor of General Studies Degree program at any Indiana University campus or through the distance education degree program.

    • Applicants must complete the Application Form.

    • Applicants must provide three letters of recommendation.

    • Applicants must provide an official Ivy Tech Community College transcript.

    • Applicants must be citizens or legal residents of the state of Indiana.

    • Applicants must have demonstrated financial need.

    • Applicants may submit their completed application forms to the Dean's Office of the School of Continuing Studies at any time. Applications are reviewed every 60 days.

    • IU employees or their relatives are not eligible for this scholarship.

  5. The School of Continuing Studies Scholarship Committee will review the applications and submit its recommendations to the Dean of the School of Continuing Studies.
  6. All information included in the application will be treated as confidential.
