Indiana University High School Adding Lab Components to Science Dropper and microscopeCourses
Indiana University High School (IUHS) students will now benefit from an added feature of their science courses — lab work. High school physics courses Sci 41P and 42P have just been released with a lab component, and all other science courses will soon follow.

The process of adding labs began this spring, as part of an effort to better comply with state standards. IUHS teachers and course writers began working on adding the labs, which — depending on subject matter — include simulations, virtual experiments, and hands-on activities.

Lab components are just one of many recent developments for Indiana University High School. In 2006, IUHS began offering an honors diploma, and the program recently announced that advanced placement courses are going to be available starting this fall.
