The Indiana University School of Continuing Studies, in partnership with the IUPUI Community Learning Network, has renewed its contract with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. For the past six years, SCS and DWD have worked together to provide up-to-date training for the employees of Indiana’s workforce investment system. Training delivered under the new contract will emphasize improved customer service and performance in Indiana’s Work One Centers.
Over the years, SCS programs have served more than 4,500 employees of the Department of Workforce Development and its partner organizations. These employees have accumulated more than 3,000 continuing education credits.
John Beeson, executive director of the SCS Office of External Relations, said the two-year contract enables the school and DWD to continue what has been a highly successful collaboration. “We are delighted to renew our contract with the Department of Workforce Development, ” he said, “and we are confident that this training will provide Hoosiers with greater employment opportunities.”
