Spring 2008 Semester-based online courses

Students enrolled in the university-wide General Studies Degree program may now register for any of five semester-based online courses to be offered this spring through the School of Continuing Studies. Register anytime between now and January 13, 2008.
 
With these courses, you’ll have the opportunity to directly interact with both fellow students and your instructor. Plus, you’ll complete your course work more quickly!

What to Expect
With these five courses, you will

  • submit your lessons and exams with a group of other students.
  • complete your course work within four months.
  • post lessons on a scheduled basis.
  • spend 10 to 15 hours per week doing the required readings and participating in online discussions.
  • take your exams online.
  • register, and pay tuition for courses the same as for other independent study courses.

Note: These courses do not qualify for federal student loans.

Courses
These are online interactive courses that must be completed within one academic semester. You complete lessons at the pace established by your professor, and you complete the course within the four months provided.

January 14, 2008 (no late adds accepted)

Courses End
April 4, 2008 (no incompletes or extensions granted without express approval from the dean of Continuing Studies)

Register today in order to receive your textbooks by the start date! Just call 800.334.1011. If you have taken distance education courses through the School of Continuing Studies in the past and you are paying by credit card, you can register online. Just log in to the SCS student information system, Dragon, at https://dragon.pop.indiana.edu.
