UNDERGRADUATE COURSES — INDEPENDENT STUDY PROGRAM

Applying Credit toward Undergraduate Degrees
Since Indiana University is accredited by the North Central Association, our credits will transfer to most colleges. However, decisions about credit transfers are made by the institution to which the credits are being transferred.

If you are enrolled in a degree program at another institution, check with the appropriate office at that institution to make sure you can apply Independent Study Program courses toward your degree.

If you are an Indiana University student, check with your dean's office prior to enrolling in Independent Study Program courses. Individual schools, departments, and campuses have differing policies about applying independent study course credits toward a degree.

If you are a general studies student in the School of Continuing Studies, credits from any Independent Study Program course may be applied toward your degree. Check with your academic advisor to see which courses best fit into your study plan.
